Prince Charles has been encouraged to "listen to the people" and to deny Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the opportunity to rejoin the Royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have planned to quit as senior royals permanently in 2020.
The pair has now moved to the United States, although it is speculated that if Prince Charles is crowned King, they may return to the Royal Family as "part-time royals." On their most recent episode, Royally US hosts Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross explored the idea of the Sussexes rejoining the royal family, as per Daily Express.
Expert: Prince Charles Should Listen to The People
Garibaldi discussed how a royal watcher on the show, Mark Fru, claimed that whether "Prince Charles likes it or not, he would have to listen to the people" on the most recent broadcast.
The Queen did not officially protest the couple's choice when they announced their departure through Instagram, despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plea in their statement to "completely support Her Majesty The Queen" while "working to become financially independent."
The European tour was Prince Harry and Meghan's first overseas vacation together since their royal departure; Prince Harry is presently in the Netherlands, while Meghan Markle has already returned to the United States.
Prince Harry, Prince Charles' Secret Meeting Feels Awkward
Since their "cordial but slightly uncomfortable" fifteen-minute encounter a week ago, Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles haven't spoken. According to sources close to Prince Charles, he is "at a loss" to explain his son's words during an Invictus Games interview with NBC journalist Hoda Kotb.
Prince Harry said that he had visited Her Majesty the Queen to ensure that she was "safe" and "had the appropriate people about her." It's unclear what he meant by his remarks, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's officials have yet to respond to requests for clarification, as per Daily Star.
Prince Harry is proud of his ability to make the Queen laugh, and claims that she can confide in him about "things she couldn't tell anybody else." It's unknown if Prince Harry will return to the UK for Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Duke was hesitant to discuss his present relationship with Princes William and Prince Charles, but he did say that he still has a special bond with one member of his family, Princess Diana, who died in 1997.
Meanwhile, a Royal family expert claims that Prince Charles is at his wit's end with Prince Harry and was hesitant to meet with his estranged son in a covert meeting last week. During an appearance on GB News in the UK on Thursday, author and journalist Robert Jobson remarked, "Charles was not really enthusiastic about doing it as far as I was aware."
Jobson told GB presenter Dan Wootton that Prince Harry, who has been feuding with his father since he abandoned his royal responsibilities two years ago, was late to the meeting. Days after the private meeting, Prince Harry spoke on "Today" with Hoda Kotb, stating he was focused on ensuring his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was "protected" and had the right people around her.
He also claimed to have a special relationship with the Queen, who turned 96 on Thursday, telling Kotb they talk about things "she can't talk about with anyone else." The comments, as well as Prince Harry's dodging of the question about whether he misses Prince Charles and brother Prince William, reportedly raised eyebrows among insiders, NY Post reported.
