Donald Trump was able to excuse himself from the hush money trial on Friday in order to attend his son Barron's high school graduation in Florida.

The former president and first lady, Melania Trump, were in attendance alongside other parents at the Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach.

Shortly before the ceremony began, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, to broadcast his presence.

"Going to Barron's High School Graduation. Great student, wonderful boy! Very exciting!!! DJT"

His attendance was not guaranteed, as the judge overseeing the hush money trial did not immediately grant Trump permission to attend, prompting a slew of rants from the former president on social media last month.

The Manhattan trial is set to resume on Monday.
