'Call of Duty: Ghosts' Gameplay Revealed: Top 5 Most Exciting New Features From Infinity Ward's Multiplayer Debut (TRAILER)

At a special press event held on Wednesday, Infinity Ward, the company behind the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Ghosts" debuted a trailer for the multiplayer elements of the game as well as broke down a few of the new key features that set this "Call of Duty" apart from the others. Below is a list of the top five most exciting reveals.

Character Customization: While gamers could always customize what guns, tactical equipment and explosive their character used, Infinity Ward has taken things a step further and allowed people to customize exactly what their soldier will look like in the field. Players will be able to chose one of 20,000 possible looks. This means that a vendetta against a player who has killed you several times in a row is a little easier to carry out now that he or she won't look like a cut and paste of the same person. Speaking of the women, the multiplayer trailer showed that the ladies have finally been invited to the mayhem as people can choose to make their character a female soldier.

New Weapons, Kill Streaks and Features: "Call of Duty: Ghosts" will feature an 80 percent overhaul in weapons with 20 new kill streaks. A new weapon type has been added called "marksmen rifles." These are supposed to bridge the gap between sniper rifles and assault rifles. They are semi-automatic weapons that can fire long range and be equipped with a tactical scope or standard iron sights.

New Game Types: There will be new game types in addition to the standard roster of multiplayer games. "Cranked" is a new variation on Team Death Match, which forces players to kill an enemy every 30 seconds or else they'll explode, "why not?" asked Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin.

"Search and Rescue" makes it so that each character drops tags for every player that is killed. If those tags are found by a teammate, the dead person can respawn, if they are found by an enemy, they're out of the game for good.

Contextual Leaning, Knee Slide and Mantle: In previous Call Of Duty games, cover was important, but it was impossible to really hold cover while remaining an offensive member of a fight. The best way to avoid eating bullets was to strafe left and right. "Ghosts" has found a way to fix that problem with contextual leaning, knee slides and mantle. The leaning is an intuitive way for users to keep most of their body in cover while shooting at enemies. The knee slide lets users stay quick and low as they slide in and out of cover. Finally the mantle allows users to jump over obstacles and dive through cover while maintaining their momentum and ability to fire. Cover has never been a more viable fighting method in a "Call of Duty" game.

Squads: The game has changed the way people think about leveling a character online. No longer does one soldier prestige ten times. Instead, ten soldiers prestige one time. Users can build up to ten unique soldiers and customize their look and load out. Each of these soldiers is palyable but can also be set as an advanced AI to help you battle other player's squads offline.

The new AI is boasted as being some of the most advanced and true-to-human plays style than ever before. "They act more like human players than anything we've created said Rubin who went on to promise the AI's know how to jump shoot, corner crouch and even strafe left and right. If a friend decides he wants to log onto his console and go head to head with your squad while you're at work or running errands, you can still gain experience for the work your squad does. This adds a strategic element to how you customize your squad. Instead of one soldier against the world, you now have to think about what compliments what from ten squadmates.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is currently set for a November 5, 2013 release date.
