A burglary suspect was caught on camera in Kinnelon, N.J. No, not a cat burglar... a bear burglar!
Josie Tirico, a resident of Morris County, shot this video of the bear walking off with a bottle of Frank's RedHot in its mouth. Tirico told NJ Advance Media that the bear has two accomplices - two cubs - when she raided the refrigerator at around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The night before, Tirico said, a bear (possibly the same one) swiped a bottle of ketchup. The bear perhaps mistook the fridge for a mini-mart. The refrigerator is under a patio deck outside.
On an adjoining road, a surveillance camera caught an adult bear taking two canned beverages from another outdoor refrigerator. No word on whether the beverages were soda or beer, but since the two cubs were wandering around the outdoor furniture, perhaps the mama was looking for juice for her babies. Or maybe a nice Pellegrino.
Tricio told NJ Advance Media that the bears had been spotted several more times during the week around South Glen Road and Julia Terrace.
