Ewan McGregor, better known as Obi-Wan Kenobi, may be a part of "Star Wars Episode 7," according to sources from the Latino Review.
J.J. Abrams has kept his new project completely under wraps, and anyone associated with the series have done the same, including actors like Harrison Ford and Samuel L. Jackson. However, with such an incredible buzz surrounding the film, it was only a matter of time until people started springing leaks left and right.
"After all, Obi-Wan Kenobi appeared throughout the original trilogy, despite his death in 'A New Hope'," the Latino Review reports. "I have confirmed this with three close sources that are on the project and they all confirmed to me that Ewan McGregor would be back as a Force Ghost in the upcoming sequel trilogy. McGregor was always down to return."
If rumors are true, "Star Wars" fans will have another reason to look forward to the film. I am hoping Harrison Ford somehow makes an appearance in the new film, but it is highly unlikely he will.
Ford shot down all hopes of a potential return during San Diego Comic-Con this year. MTV Geek asked Ford about the upcoming flick, but refused to comment on his potential involvement.
"I'm not prepared at this time to have an in-depth conversation about - what did you call it again? - 'Star Wars'," Ford said. "I can't talk about it."
However, Ford does believe Abrams is the right man to direct the latest installment in the "Star Wars" franchise.
"I think he's a great storyteller," Ford said, referring to Abrams involvement in the next "Star Wars" movie. "He's developed an enormous filmmaking skill. I think it's a daunting project and he's the kind of guy that can take on huge challenges and deliver... He's an awful nice guy."
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is set to be released to theaters summer 2015.
