Pregnant Woman Finds Rubber Glove In Krispy Kreme Doughnut

A pregnant London office woman was simply satisfying her cravings for a Krispy Kreme doughnut when she received the shock of her life, discovering a blue latex glove inside the doughnut she took a bite off.

Ria Findlay, who is currently seven months pregnant, expressed her shock and dismay at discovering the glove inside the doughnut, which was one of many bought to celebrate a birthday of her colleague.

"I picked their new edition one as I'd not had one [of the ones] without the hole in it before, so the filling was going to be a surprise. I didn't realise (sic) how much of a surprise," Findlay told the London Evening Standard.

Once Krispy Kreme was notified of the matter, the company sent three boxes of doughnuts to Findlay, but she admitted, "Not many got eaten as you can imagine."

The Scotland native said in another interview the incident left her "queasy" and that her "gag reflex was in overload."

"I luckily had not bitten into the glove, only around it. I tried to pull it out, but it was baked into the doughnut. I felt quite sick for the rest of the day," she told the New York Daily News.

A Krispy Kreme spokesperson apologized on behalf of the popular doughnut-making company, saying that it will be "conducting a full investigation into the matter," according to ITV News.

"Krispy Kreme has an exemplary food safety record and we endeavour to take care at all stages of our food production process to ensure that products are produced in a hygienic and safe manner.

"Once our investigations are complete, we will write to the customer to advise her of our findings," the spokesperson said.
