"Good Morning America's" Ginger Zee is pregnant!
The ABC News chief meteorologist announced she is expecting her first child with husband Ben Aaron, an NBC News correspondent, during Monday's episode of the morning show.
"This is the most nervous I've been in awhile," the mommy-to-be said. "The forecast for delivery is in December."
Zee is known for her adventurous spirit, but admitted during the announcement that motherhood is a whole new and different adventure. "In all the other adventures, a promise you will return home," she said. "This is like, when you get home, the adventure is there and that's the big difference and why it is so emotional for me. I'll do anything but this scares me."
After the announcement, Zee tweeted a photo of her sonogram and wrote, "We can't wait! Baby Zee/Aaron is forecast to join us in December. @ben_aaron."
The couple, who recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary, tied the knot in a "charming, intimate" beachside ceremony last June in Michigan. The couple said they want both biological and adopted children.
"I think I need to get a BabyBjörn that fits on a paraglider," Zee told People. "Seriously though, we are elated to have the opportunity to be parents. Motherhood will absolutely be my most extreme adventure yet! Can't wait to teach it all my favorite meteorology terms."
