James and Crystal Driggers - a pair of body-builder parents - have been arrested after allegedly banishing their 14-year-old daughter to a tent in the woods for a week for eating a Pop-Tart without permission.
The forest in question was inhabited by wild hogs and the only supplies she had available was a roll of toilet paper, a flashlight, a whistle and a watch.
She was barred from returning to the house but could approach the fence at specific times during the day to be given a cold can of spaghetti in tomato sauce, according to The Telegraph.
Thunderstorms battered Sumter County on Thursday night, the first night of the camping sentence. The girl slept in the tent during the downpour, the Sumter Item reported.
Her ordeal only came to an end when her grandmother alerted police out of her concern for the girl's safety.
When officers arrived the parents promised that their daughter would be allowed back into the house, but the next day, officers returned to find that she was back in the tent.
She had spent two days in the outdoors and her parents allegedly intended for her to remain there for a week.
Both parents were charged with unlawful neglect of a child and their daughter is now in the care of social services. Their four other children are in the custody of their grandparents.
This isn't the first time James Driggers, 33, and Crystal Driggers, 36, have banished their daughter from their home. Last month, she was forbidden from entering the house between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. as another form of punishment, deputies said, according to the New York Daily News.
