Revenge Season 3 Spoilers: Why Jack Comes Back to Town; Emily Isn't Quite Done with Daniel

The end of Season 2 of “Revenge” gave Jack (Nick Wechsler) more than enough reasons to leave the Hamptons—which he eventually does.

However, in Season 3 he will make his way back to the town. Executive Producer Sunil Nayar recently discussed Jack’s return with Entertainment Weekly.

“He has an absolute lot to synthesize for himself and, especially as a person who is so inherently moral and good, to have so much bad and betrayal enacted upon him has been a journey,” said Nayar. “And when we see him in the premiere, he’s obviously still on that journey, but also has asked himself a lot of questions and come up with answers to a few.”

As for why Jack returns in the first place, Nayar says viewers “will get a sense” of the reason for his return, but he didn’t elaborate.

The EP did however mention, Jack has a real connection to the town because of “The Stowaway.”

“It’s the bar his father created and it is where the memories of those he’s loved and lost lived. It’s the one anchor he has,” he tells EW. “In some ways, it represents his past, what happened with Emily represents his present and Carl represents his future.”

ABC recently released a trailer foreshadowing some of what we can expect to see this season. Included in the promo was a quick scene of Jack and Emily kissing. Unfortunately for anyone hoping Jack and Emily (Emily VanCamp) get together with Daniel (Josh Bowman) out of the picture, the trailer also hints at a possible Danie/Emily wedding. (And there probably aren’t many “Revenge” fans who believed Emily’s use of Daniel in her vendetta would end after last season.)

Season 3 of “Revenge” premieres Sept. 29 on ABC.
