Warner Bros. has given "Suicide Squad" fans their first look at the super villain film and it is scary good. The first official trailer premiered this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, but leaked early online.
"It's taken some work but I finally have them. The worst of the worst," says Viola Davis' Amanda Waller to start the clip.
The squad's director has assembled the antihero team in maze of cages where they can do nothing but hit punching bags or swing from the bars. She hopes these most dangerous people on the planet can do some good.
Each member of the team is unmasked in the trailer including Slipknot (Adam Beach), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), an unmasked Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and El Diablo (Jay Hernandez).
"So that's it, huh? We're the patsies. We're some kind of Suicide Squad," says Will Smith's Deadshot.
The trailer also hints at a connection to the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe when Waller calls Superman "a beacon" that attracted these villains back into the light.
And just when you think you've seen "the worst of the worst," out comes the craziest villain of all, The Joker, played to perfection by Jared Leto.
Director David Ayer tweeted his frustration about the leak and the sacrifice the fans make to be first in line to see it at Comic-Con.
