Another victor is added to "The Hungers Games: Mockingjay" Parts 1 & 2 cast!
Australian actress Stef Dawson will join Jennifer Lawrence, better known as Katniss Everdeen, as District 4 victor Annie Cresta in the final films of the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dawson joins "Games of Thrones" actress Natalie Dormer as the newest cast additions. Dormer will play Cressida, a director from the Capital who helps Katniss in the rebel uprising.
"Dormer is one of the hottest actresses on the scene right now. She portrays Margaery Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones and will be seen in Ron Howard's Rush this September as well as in Ridley Scott's The Counselor in October," USA Today reports.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Part 1 will reportedly be released on Nov. 21, 2014 and the second part will premiere Nov. 20, 2015.
Fans are extremely eager to see the next installment of the "Hunger Games" series, "Catching Fire." The second film will be released on Nov. 22, just a few months away.
Jennifer Lawrence is excited for people to see the film, and recently spoke to Vogue about her character and how she originally connected with Katniss:
"When Winter's Bone was getting nominated," says Lawrence, "I had only done indies, and suddenly I was introduced to this brand-new world where I didn't feel like myself. I was in these weird gowns and listening to people talk about things I didn't understand. And I remember reading that in the book and being like, Oh, my God, I know exactly what this feels like.
I don't know what it's like to get ready for your death, but I do know what it's like to be almost a puppet. And then when I was making the second film, I had become more acquainted with that world, and I think that's something that Katniss experiences. She is different when she comes back. She does feel more comfortable in the Capitol; she understands the people more, and it's not as eerie and scary and unfamiliar. She kind of knows how to work the system."
