George H. W. Bush Suffers Broken Bone In His Neck After Fall In Maine, Now In Stable Condition

George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States, fell and broke a bone in his neck at his Kennebunkport home and is currently hospitalized in Portland, Maine, CNN reported. Jim McGrath, the longtime spokesperson for the former president, announced on Twitter that Bush is now in stable condition. "41 fell at home in Maine today and broke a bone in his neck. His condition is stable -- he is fine -- but he'll be in a neck brace," he tweeted.

Second-oldest son and former Florida governor Jeb Bush was scheduled to appear at a fundraiser in San Francisco on Wednesday night as part of his presidential campaign. A spokesperson said they have no immediate comment, according to the Washington Post.

Bush was previously hospitalized in Houston, Texas due to shortness of breath on December 23 of last year and was released a week later, HNGN previously reported.
