After three weeks of no sugar, Rebel Wilson final caved in. The 35-year-old "Pitch Perfect" actress announced via Twitter on Monday that she fell off the wagon after embarking on a "no refined sugar" diet she began on July 1.
"I lost the NO (refined) SUGAR CHALLENGE after 20 days...had a scary taxi ride and succumbed to ice-cream & Mars Bar...but back on wagon x," Wilson wrote Monday.
The actress, who is currently tweeting from her vacation in Dubai with boyfriend Mickey Gooch Jr., kept her fans updated on her diet journey.
"I'm starting a 'no sugar' challenge today!! I'll let you guys know how long I lasted for!! X" she wrote on the first day of her challenge.
On her fifth day, Wilson posted that she was still going strong but was facing some serious temptation, writing, "NO (refined) SUGAR CHALLENGE DIARY: it's been 5 days, went to see Magic Mike, all those shiny G's made me think of skittles...resisted x."
Wilson tweeted a hilarious photo of herself on July 19 with a falcon on her arm and a wide desert with camels in the background and captioned the pic, "No sugar today but plenty of desert x #Dubai #luxuryfalconry."
The Australian native announced in May that she will be joining forces with Torrid, a plus-size clothing brand, to help design fashionable and affordable clothing for plus-size women.
"I've never really felt like there's a brand out there in the plus size world that is creating cool stuff, that fits well and is good quality yet affordable," Wilson said in a press release. "It's really only been in the last few years that I've seen companies try. So it was awesome to team with Torrid, who I think are doing such a great job in making plus size fashion relevant and dope."
