Lisa Kudrow Scandal: [WATCH] ABC Releases Season 3 Promo; 'Friends' Star Joins Cast in Recurring Role

ABC has released a promo for Season 3 and it looks like this season is going to be much better than the last one.

The promo begins where Season 2 left off with a bombardment of reporters questioning Olivia and then—things go nuts:

--Olivia is yelling at Fits because they “need to make a plan.”

--Her father is giving her some lovely fatherly advice when he tells her, “They will gut you and everyone you know.”

--Then things get even weirder when Cyrus mentions something about a “kill folder on Olivia Pope.”

The high speed trailer finally ends with Olivia yelling at her gladiators who may have totally screwed up, “WHAT DID YOU DO??”

You’ll probably need to take a second after viewing the promo below.

In addition to the excitement Shonda Rhimes’ poltical drama is brining this season, “Scandal” is also bringing on some star power of the “friend”ly variety.

“Friends” star Lisa Kudrow will be joining the show in a recurring role, according to Deadline.com. She will appear as a politician. Unfortunately, that’s all the information available for now since, as many know, Rhimes doesn’t like to give away too much.

The cast of Scandal has made some big promises this season, especially for the first two episodes. During interviews with EOnline, Tony Goldwyn (Fitz) said he has a line in the second episode that “will break Twitter.”

We’re all hoping the first two episodes shock us as much as they did Darby Stanchfield (Abby).

"I have read the first two scripts and I am in shock," she told the website. "There's some amazing flashback stuff that you thought you knew the answers to but it's like ‘Whoa, that's what really happened?!?!''"

Season 3 of “Scandal” airs Oct. 3, 10/9c on ABC.
