Alec Baldwin and his daughter Ireland have come a long way in eight years when he yelled at her in a 2007 voicemail rant calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” The two mocked the infamous message on Twitter as they read a child’s book called, “If I Were a Pig…”
“If I were a pig… I would be a rude and thoughtless one of course!” Ireland tweeted on Sunday.

At the time of the voicemail, Ireland was 11 years old and her parents, Alec and Kim Basinger, were embroiled in a nasty custody battle. The “30 Rock” star later admitted to Playboy in 2009 that the entire episode had left him feeling suicidal.
Ireland credited both her parents for their love and support as she checked herself into rehab for “emotional trauma in April. She spent two weeks at Malibu’s Soba Recovery Center getting intensive therapy to learn how to deal with the stress and pain in her life.
This is the last thing I'm going to say about everything that's been going on... Both of my parents, step mom, carmen, and friends... — Ireland (@irelandbaldwin) April 15, 2015
