The Following Season 2 Wishlist: Ryan Should Hold a Relationship; Jessica Stroup's New Role

“The Following” had a great first season, although I was a bit skeptical as to how they would keep the show going once Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) was found. Apparently, he did not die at the end of the first season and will most likely be back tormenting Ryan (Kevin Bacon) in Season 2. Here is my Season 2 wish list for “The Following”:

No. 1—Don’t mess this up Ryan.

Connie Nielsen will play a Soho art dealer named Lily Gray is Season 2 who could be a possible love interest for Ryan. Knowing Ryan’s track record and the way in which he likes to ruin relationships, he’ll probably mess this up. Understandably he should be a little cautious. (His last girlfriend was married to a serial killer and the girlfriend before that was a serial killer.) So, barring that there’s no weirdness with Lily, let’s hope Ryan is happy dating a normal person

No. 2—A Good Transition for Jessica Stroup

I’m excited to see Silver from “90210” become Max in “The Following.” This is obviously a change of roles for Jessica Stroup and it will be fun to see how she does as a cop. There are already allusion to a possible romance between Max and Weston (Shawn Ashmore), according to EOnline. However what are her crime fighting skills?Hopefully she learns a lot from Uncle Ryan and maybe even saves his life once or twice.

No. 3—A bigger role for Mike Weston

Weston went through quite a bit last season, which will probably affect him in Season 2. While, he may be more on edge this season, hopefully he’s gotten smarter. It would be nice to see him foil a plan or two this fall.
