Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for season six of "The Walking Dead" and spoilers for the graphic novel.
Recently, MTV sat down with the cast and producers of AMC's hit show "The Walking Dead" and asked which character no longer living (undead zombies don't count) they'd like to see brought back. Steven Yeun said he'd love to bring back either Dale or Hershel. Executive producer Greg Nicotero went with Lori. Sonequa Martin-Green surprised some by choosing Shane, but her answer did not generate the biggest reaction.
Norman Reedus potentially leaked a major spoiler for season six when he listed Glenn as the deceased character he wanted to see return. Nicotero even interrupted to clarify that Glenn is not dead in the show as of now. So, was Reedus just being cheeky or should fans expect Glenn to become zombie chow this season?
Readers of the graphic novel know that Glenn does not make it all the way through the series alive. He is killed by infamous Big Bad Negan and his barbed-wire bat, Lucille. Showrunner Scott Gimple has confirmed that actor Ethan Embry will play a prominent character loosely based on someone from the source material in the upcoming season. While no one knows for sure, it wouldn't be a surprise if this character turned out to be the evil Negan. If true, it would further point to Glenn's oncoming demise.
What do you think, "Walking Dead" fans? Was Reedus playing a joke or should we all brace ourselves for the worst? Let us know in the comments section below.
