Former U.S. president George H.W. Bush posted a photo of himself giving a thumbs-up and thanked his well-wishers on Twitter on Thursday.
Who knew jumping out of planes was safer than getting out of bed? Thanks to all for your kind get-well messages. pic.twitter.com/T9FmhCqyme

Bush, 91, is seen in the photo still sporting a neck brace after he fell and broke a bone in his neck at his Kennebunkport home earlier this month and was hospitalized in Portland, Maine. The 41st president of the United States was released from Maine Medical Center four days later. His injury was a significant one, but doctors revealed that he was in great shape and is expected to make a full recovery.
Jim McGrath, Bush's long time spokesperson, took to Twitter at the same time to update America on his condition.

Besides the neck injury, Bush was also hospitalized because of shortness of breath during the holiday season last year and was released a week later, HNGN previously reported.
