The final season of "How I Met Your Mother" is approaching, and goodies are in store for fans, and I'm not just talking about the long awaited meeting of Ted Mosby's future wife.
Rumors are swirling that there will be a few more guest appearances by famous actors leading up to the Barney and Robin's wedding. The CBS sitcom has replaced "Office" star Ellie Kemper who was set to play the role of Cassie, an "unfortunate guest" at their wedding, according to International Business Times.
However, don't get too disappointed, as they have found the an even more exciting replacement for "one of the most attractive, available, and - as Ted discovers - unfortunate guests." IBT reports the sitcom has cast "True Blood" actress Anna Camp.
The role of Cassie is rumored to be the person trying to get in between Ted and the future mother during the wedding.
Whatever the writers have planned, we all know the final season is going to be legend...wait for it....DARY! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)
To instill more excitement in HIMYM fans, CBS has also released the first teaser trailer of the last season. There is a scene in the new clip showing Robin and Barney talking about someone ruining their wedding. The only question remains is: WHO?
WHO would even think about ruining the union between Barney and arguable the only woman he may have truly loved on the show? Well, the trailer would lead you to believe it's Ted, but that doesn't seem right, as we know Robin isn't THE mother. Cristin Milioti will play the much-anticipated role of the "The Mother" during the wedding.
Only way to find out is to tune into "How I Met Your Mother" season 9, premiering on CBS Sept. 23 with a special back-to-back two-part episode.
