Former "Bachelor in Paradise" contestants Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul have been married for almost two months now, but all of their fans got to see the wedding for the first time during the show's season premiere last night.
On June 4, Grodd, who is a Coast Guard trainee, and Faddoul, who is an elderly care facility owner, tied the knot, according to People. The wedding took place at Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico with their family, friends and the current cast of the show by their side. The two met on the show just a year ago and got engaged during the season finale, so it made sense for them to have it air for all their fans to see.
"Marcus and I met on 'Bachelor in Paradise,'" Faddoul told People. "That's where our solid foundation started. We thought, 'Why not start the next chapter of our lives there as well?'"
Faddoul wore a custom-made Mac Duggal "beachy" gown. "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison officiated the ceremony because Faddoul believes "he is a man known for love," so there was nobody better for this job.
"You both came on the 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' seeking the most important thing in the world-love," Harrison said, according to Daily Mail. "Neither of you found it, but you were each given a second chance and you both came to paradise to seek out love again and there you found it. There were ups and downs, trials and tribulations and you've come through to this day, back in Mexico where it all began."
The entire crowd, including the bride and groom, got teary-eyed as Harrison officiated the ceremony, and they all got especially emotional when the couple read their vows, which were very personal, considering they wrote them themselves.
"I love everything about Marcus," Faddoul continued to tell People. "He is patient and kind, and he has such a soft heart. Our wedding gave all the new cast members hope that this franchise really does work if you have an open mind. If you're there for the right reasons and you have an open mind and an open heart, try love is definitely possible."
The two even released a perfume called "I Do," which Faddoul wore on her wedding day, so their fans could share this special moment with them.
See if anyone else finds love on "Bachelor in Paradise" when it airs Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
