Add one more superhero to the roster for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." The upcoming CW series has cast Falk Hentschel to play Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkman, to its growing cast of characters, according to TVLine.
Hawkman first appeared in "Flash Comics #1" in 1940, but the latest version will take its cue from the rebooted "Crisis on Infinite Earths" series that came out in 1985. The character is a reincarnation of an Egyptian prince who uses archaic weaponry and artificial wings to fight crime.
He regularly works alongside Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl, whom Ciara Renée will play on "Legends of Tomorrow." Both characters will debut in an "Arrow"/"Flash" crossover event this fall alongside Arthur Darville, who will play Rip Hunter.
In addition to Hentschel and Renee, the new CW show will star "Arrow" and "The Flash" fan favorites Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, a.k.a. Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, a.k.a. Heat Wave, and Victor Garber as Firestorm.
Despite her death in season three, "Arrow" plans to resurrect Caity Lotz's character Sara Lance in the Lazarus Pit that will transform her into the White Canary. She will then join the rest of the team to take down the supervillain, Vandal Savage, in "Legends."
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" will premiere on The CW in 2016.
