It seems as though Kim Kardashian has paved the way for many celebrities with her hit app "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" because now Nicki Minaj is getting her own similar mobile game. The 32-year-old rapper has partnered with Glu Mobile Inc., the same developers behind Kardashian's app, to start the creation of her own game, which is set to launch next summer, according to Contact Music. Minaj's game is expected to be similar to the reality star's. They plan on bringing her name, likeness, voice, and creative direction into this "one-of-a-kind digital experience."
"I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minah, to Glu's growing list of celebrity partners," CEO Niccolo de Masi said in a statement earlier this week. "Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million social followers and a new music category. We look forward to combining Nicki's distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu's celebrity social gaming expertise."
It turns out Minaj isn't the only celebrity getting their very own game with the company. Actor Jason Statham, singers Britney Spears and Katy Perry, as well as reality stars and sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner have also made deals with Glu, according to USA Today.
"Katy is arguably the most recognized musician in America following her Super Bowl XLIX Halftime performance this past Sunday," De Masi said at the time. "She is a cultural icon and we expect to translate key elements of her success into an innovative, highly entertaining mobile experience."
Statham's game is set to be the first to be released this fall with Perry's following later in the year. Minaj's will be released in next summer and Spears' is also set to release sometime in 2016.
