The famous Byler sextuplets of Florida, a group of siblings that includes five boys and one girl, have started kindergarten for a second time together but separately, as each child will be placed in a different classroom, ABC News reports.
Born to Karoline Byler on Sept. 1, 2007 in Wesley Chapel, Fla., the unique mix of children will be completing kindergarten for a second time, as their mom feels it's in their best interests.
"Some of them like it. Some of them don't," Byler, who describes her home as "crazy, active, fun, nutty and loud," told ABC News of her children's fresh start to school. "The ones that are more boisterous and outgoing are fine. The ones more quiet don't. Jackson cried the whole way to school on the first day of school."
Because even though they're all sextuplets, all six children have very different personalities. Byler wants all of her children to complete kindergarten "alone" this time, instead of being split up into groups as she did last year, so they all get to experience it individually.
When asked by ABC News to give their names, the children all chimed in, "I'm Brady. I'm Eli. My name is Ryan. I'm Jackson and I'm Charlie," while the girl of the family, Mackenzie, said she liked being the only girl.
Things will surely prove challenging for Byler and her husband when Parent Teacher Day rolls around, as there will be six different teachers for each of the six kids. Having six kids is difficult enough, but when they're all babies at the same time, it provides its own set of challenges and creative thinking, especially since Byler also has another daughter, Zoe, age 10.
"I'm not going to lie, it's a lot," Byler told ABC News. "Five boys and one girl. No one else has that mix in the United States." She added that for her kids' birthdays last week, she had to bring in more than 100 cupcakes for all of their different classrooms.
All of the Byler babies made headlines when they were born with the help of a fertility treatment back in 2007, successfully delivered by cesarean section.
