Veteran character actor Terrence Evans died on Friday, Variety reported. He passed away in Burbank, Calif. at 81-years-old. Evans was known for a wide range of roles, having appeared in the TV series "Star Trek" to the blockbuster hit "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
Phil Brock of Studio Talent Group and Evans' longtime manager confirmed his death and released a statement. "Terrence was a consummate actor who was passionate about his art and about giving to others. He projected his strength and humanity into his character portrayals," Brock said, according to Variety.
After graduating from Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University, Evans curated a long and varied resume during his time as an actor. His film credits include 2003's remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and 2006's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," both of which he played Leatherface's uncle. He also played a small part in the 1990 action flick "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," according to Entertainment Weekly.
His TV credits include roles on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager," according to Deadline Hollywood. He also went on to play characters in other hit shows like "ER," "The Golden Girls," "The Dukes of Hazard," "The A-Team" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
