Today marked Lady Gaga's first day on the set of the fifth season of "American Horror Story." She had only been on set for 24 hours before she "died" and went to her personal heaven. "Thoughts on first day shooting for AHS? I say, I've died and gone to my personal heaven," the musician turned actress tweeted to her millions of followers. Along with her tweet, Mother Monster also included a knife, lipstick and cigarette emojis that seemed to have something to do with her mysterious character.
In anticipation for her role on the FX series, Gaga changed the name of her Instagram account to "The Countess, Owner of the 'Hotel' Cortez in Los Angeles." The singer posted a number of pictures on the social media account that had to do with "Hotel" including a selfie of her in costume. "The Countess here," she captioned the picture.
"Her [Lady Gaga] character's name is Elizabeth, she owns the hotel. And she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people. And she has nefarious plans revealed in the first episode, and plays out over the course of the season," Murphy said, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"Everybody who does the show has to start with something disturbing and awful right away. And I think the first two days [Lady Gaga] has a pretty spectacular murder scene to shoot with Matt Bomer. And I'm glad that she has Matt. Because she's so great and they've all socialized... I can't say enough great things about her," Murphy concluded.
Matt Bomer played Donovan in the series, which could be another Gaga clue as to what goes down between the two, reported the New York Daily News. Perhaps this is the scene Gaga tweeted about and "died" over?
"American Horror Story: Hotel" returns to FX on Oct. 7.
