A woman is accused of pushing her husband of eight days off a cliff in Montana, according to multiple reports.
Jordan Linn Graham, 22, is believed to have pushed Cody Lee Johnson, 25, off a cliff in Glacier National Park after an argument on July 7, according to Missoulian.com. Graham is reportedly charged with second-degree murder.
"It starts on July 8, the day Johnson's employer reported him missing," KCFW reports. "The next day Graham, Johnson's wife, reportedly told investigators Johnson texted her he wanted to go for a drive with an out-of-town friend. She claimed she saw him leaving in a dark car."
Authorities asked if Graham could produce the text message exchange between her and Johnson, in which she responded it was common for the couple to delete text messages to each other, Missouliam.com reports.
The news of Graham being accused of murder does not surprise Johnson family friend, Tracey Maness. The family allegedly suspected Graham of the murder.
"She'd been telling people she knew she never wanted to be married, she just wanted to have a wedding, and that's apparently what they were arguing about," Maness told Missoulian.com.
"He was very in love with Jordan," Maness said. "And he was really excited about starting the next chapter of his life."
An affidavit states Graham admitted to lying to authorities about her husband's disappearance, coming clean about an alleged argument she had with her spouse.
"Once there, they walked on The Loop hiking trail for a while and were arguing," the affidavit states. "Then they walked to the other side of the trail to an area that was very steep and proceed(ed) down the rocks near a stump. Graham stated their argument intensified."
According to the complaint, Graham pushed her husband with both hands, causing him to fall face first off the cliff.
