Infinity Ward, the game company behind the famous "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" series has released a new trailer for its upcoming next-generation title "Call of Duty: Ghosts," which shows a few hints as to what users can expect from the upcoming game's campaign.
We already know the game will come with dogs and playable female characters. Several other online features have already been unveiled including the ability to bring ten characters to prestige mode once, rather than one character ten times.
The new trailer shows a very different combat environment from the campaign mode. Did you ever want to get into a massive "Call of Duty" style firefight in the middle of the zero gravity vacuum of space? Did you not realize you wanted that until you just read it? Well either way, you're in luck. The new trailer opens with an attack on a U.S. space station called "Odin."
The gun-wielding astronauts battle it out, the result of the firefight somehow leaves the U.S. defenseless and open for invasion. It's unclear exactly who the enemy is other than the fact that they "came from south of the equator."
The trailer then shows a lot of scenes of ruined American cities with combat going on there. The story looks like it centers around one soldier and his father taking on the threat that has overrun the United States. Patriotism seems to be the talk of the campaign mode with the tagline "A man who truly loves his country doesn't just give his life, he gives his sons."
No word yet on who these major characters are or why they'll be the focal point of the new game. However, one important thing is revealed in the trailer and that is simply, what you're fighting for.
