Dallas Cowboys Injury Report: Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Morris Claiborne UPDATE, Statuses For Week 2

The Dallas Cowboys expect Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Morris Claiborne to play in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Romo went down on Sunday when two New York Giants defenders sandwiched him with a hit. He missed one play before heading into the locker room for half time; he returned after the half and finished the game.

At the time, the Cowboys said Romo had the wind knocked out of him. X-rays taken on Monday confirmed Romo was negative for broken ribs, according to USA Today Sports.

"We feel optimistic with the tests coming back negative," Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Monday, via CBS DFW. "He'll be sore but something he'll be able to play with, as it looks right now."

Bryant suffered a sprained left foot in the fourth quarter on Sunday. He eventually returned to the game. An MRI later confirmed a mild foot sprain. Although he'll likely be a limited participant at practice, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett doesn't foresee Bryant sitting out against the Chiefs.

"We don't think it's a too, too serious thing," Garret said on Monday, via the Dallas Morning News.

Claiborne went down on Sunday in the third quarter with a dislocated shoulder. He missed several plays and had his shoulder set back in place by one of the team's physicians, according to The Morning News. Claiborne later returned to the game.

"His arm will be in a harness as he recovers," David Moore of The Morning News wrote.

Claiborne will play, but he's expected to be limited in practice during the week.

The Cowboys visit the Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
