The Following Season 2 Spoilers: The Return of the Ice Pick; Same Weirdness, Different Storyline

All of us remember how amazingly disturbing the first season of the “The Following” was. People were put into boxes, there was a house full of serial killers all ready to take orders from one very disturbed man and the main character fell in love with the wife of the man he’d been hunting. Definitely not your average day at the office.

However, that probably wasn’t the most disturbing thing that happened all season. Nevertheless, according to EOnline, the most disturbing thing that happened all season is going to make a return in Season 2.

The website reports that the eye-stabbing will make its return.

For those of you who don’t remember what happened last season, a young woman walked into an FBI work station and stripped almost completely naked. Her body was covered with the writings of Edgar Allen Poe. Before anyone knew what she was doing, she took an ice pick and shoved it in her eye.

It seems that the same weirdness from last season will be carried over to the upcoming season in 2014. However, fans were told the two seasons will not be the same.

Executive Producer Marcos Siego said the show will not be the “race-against-the-clock” style from earlier this year, according to TVGuide.com.

This will allow more freedom “to explore more character moments,” he continued. “It's going to be really interesting to get into that stuff.”

It’s a shame we have to wait till next year to resume the story of Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) but “The Following” is returning to FOX in January 2014.
