Simon Gilmore had just moved in with girlfriend Dana, and they were buying new things for their home. He wanted to end the shopping endeavor early by annoying her, so he uttered 30 puns using Ikea product names, to push her buttons, Daily Mail reported.
Gilmore went to Ikea with his girlfriend to go shopping. But for him, ravaging around the maze-like store, and needing to pass through crowds and navigate between floor displays was a boring way to spend his afternoon.
He said he "figured out how to get through there as quickly as possible."
The Australian man would say "Hey, Dana" before every pun. At the beginning of the video, Simon is heard saying, "Hey Dana! I’ve got you on my 'Reidar'!" while showing her a chair. Dana responded with a groan and a laugh.
"Oh, God," she said while rolling her eyes. What she didn't know is that there were more puns to come.
Some of the Swedish product names were easy for Simon to use like "tolerant", "smarta" and "not." But others were a lot more complicated like the cushion label "Luktnypon". He joked about it saying, "Dana, what did the guy say at the start of a miniature horse race?" Unimpressed Dana just shook her head and Simon showed her the label while saying, "Good luck, tiny pony!" and laughs.
Other hilarious snippets from the video include, "Dana, my hair is a bit fluffy can you remind me to BYGEL," and "Dana, you are just ENVIS of my quick wit," according to Huffington Post.
Throughout their Ikea shopping experience, Dana begged him to stop. Some may even wonder if the two are still together after the trip. Ever wonder if Simon succeeded in ending their shopping trip early? Watch the full video below that was already been viewed over 2.7 million times.
