A One Direction fan has allegedly killed her dog because the boy band members did not respond to her demand on Twitter. According to Fox News, a Twitter user who uses the handle @illumivato, tweeted to pop group demanding they follow her "or I'll break my dog's neck."
With the disturbing tweet she included a photo of a Chihuahua pinned on the ground with a hand around its neck. When she didn't get a reply she sent another tweet to Liam Payne saying: "I love you. Follow me. My dog just died."
This time the girl included a photo of herself crying holding what appeared to be a dead dog.
It's not clear if the band even saw the tweet. The group gets millions of tweets every day. According to Favstar.com, which has a compilation of @illumivato's tweets, this isn't the first time she has pulled a stunt like this.
She has sent several other disturbing tweets to One Direction before and also to Katy Perry.
"@katyperry please follow me my dog died yesterday someone strangled him," she tweeted.
"I can't believe I killed my dog for a follow from Liam..." she posted.
In other tweets she threatened to kill her cat, her sister and her mother. Fans of the group, known as "Directioners" were so upset by the threats that a petition was started on change.org demanding that her account be removed from the social networking site.
The petition, started by Mya Fhya, has over 3,000 signatures. Fhya also claims the girl has tweeted very obscene photos as well.
"She has pictures of animals in blenders, a dog with guns up to its head, a picture of her strangling (what looks to be her mom), a young boy with duct tape tied around [his] arms on the ground... basically implying that if she does not get more followers she will kill all of these beings," Fhya wrote.
Some people believe the entire thing is a hoax and the pictures are not really of her dog. The girl's real name has not been released and her Twitter account has been suspended.
