For those of you worried about the fate of “NCIS” when Cote de Pablo leaves, there’s some good news. We may have a little bit of McGee/Abby drama on our hands.
An “NCIS” photo, provided to TVLine.com, shows McGee (Sean Murray) with his new girlfriend Delilah (Margo Harshman) out at appears to be a small coffee spot. While they’re sitting down apparent discussing something (which could very well be important since McGee’s an NCIS special agent and Margo’s a Department of Defense cyber analyst) in walks none other than—Ms. Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette).
As to show runner Gary Glasberg said in a past interview with TVLine, fans should get ready for some “terrific triangle stuff that goes on with Abby.”
Glasberg has been doing his best to reassure fans that everything is going to be alright after de Pablo leaves the show.
On Tuesday, CBS.com released a letter from the executive producer written to fans, encouraging them and hinting at what’s to come after Ziva’s final episode. Here is an excerpt from the letter:
Let me start by saying, “Thank you.” We genuinely appreciate your letters and emails. I know Cote’s decision was a shock to everybody. Us, too. But we need everyone to remember that, in addition to being a professional family, we’re a television show, and change happens. Writers move on. Actors move on. Life, for some, interferes with work and then we rise to the occasion and adapt. Very often, extraordinary creativity comes out of adjustment. And so we find ourselves not dwelling on the past, but eager to guide you into the future of NCIS. Eager to show you that Season 11 can be a rollercoaster ride of new stories. Eager to share our excitement and enthusiasm of what’s to come.

“NCIS” returns for its eleventh season, Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c on CBS.
