"Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson is no stranger to family scandals. While the reality star promoted her new book "Live Original," she said that she prayed for her friends in the Duggar family amid oldest son Josh Duggar's second sex scandal.
The former star of "19 Kids and Counting' admitted last week that he cheated on his wife Anna. His confession came after the website Ashley Madison was hacked and all user information was leaked onto the Internet. Ashley Madison is an online dating service specifically marketed to people who were married or in a committed relationship. The slogan for the site was "Life is short. Have an affair."
"It's been kind of a secret for a long time, and everybody knows, when secrets come out, it's not fun. Secrets are hard. You shouldn't keep secrets," Robertson, 18, told People Now. "At this point it is what it is, and so they're just going to have to make the best out of it. ... If they can forgive him, it will all work out."
Robertson remembered the backlash her own family faced when her grandfather Phil Robertson said anti-gay comments.
"They almost canceled Duck Dynasty whenever my grandpa said the things that he said, and that would have been, in my opinion, not a very good decision, because that was putting one man's words in all of our mouths," she explained, according to Extra. "Josh Duggar, that's not his whole family. His whole family didn't do that. He made a mistake."
Robertson admitted to being close friends with one of the Duggar girls, according to The International Business Times. She said that she keeps in close contact with her fellow TV reality show family.
