Alexa Vega is officially off the market once again, as her rep confirmed to Just Jared that the "Spy Kids" actress is now engaged to her boyfriend, Big Time Rush star, Carlos Pena Jr., US Weekly reports.
Vega has been dating Pena Jr. since late last year, after filing for divorce from her ex-husband, 36-year old "Napoleon Dynamite" producer Sean Covel, after two years of marriage. The two got married in South Dakota in 2010, and their divorce was finalized in December 2012, but it looks as though the two have remained on good terms since then.
Yesterday, Covel took to Twitter to congratulate Vega on her engagement. "Deepest congratulations to @alexavega and @TheCarlosPena!" he wrote, adding, "May your days be happy, lives be long, and your children, somehow, be tall."
Pena Jr. recently Instagrammed a photo of the 25-year old actress sipping Starbucks, leaning on her car, her huge, round engagement ring visible. "My angel!!! @vegaalexa awesome road trip so far!! Now we just need to get back..." he wrote as a caption.
Vega also posted a black-and-white modeling photo of a shirtless Pena. Jr. along with the caption, "Hello fiancé..."
"Congrats! You guys will make such a lovely couple," one fan wrote in the comments, while another wrote, "May God continue to bless and strengthen your union. Love you guys."
The actress is best known for playing Carmen Cortez in the "Spy Kids" movies, and she'll soon make another appearance on-screen in the upcoming film "Machete Kills." Pena Jr. is a member of the band Big Time Rush and a star of the Nickelodeon show of the same name, which looks at the life of a boy band trying to make it in the music industry.
