Amy Schumer and her new BFF Jennifer Lawrence crashed the stage during Billy Joel's performance at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Thursday night, Vanity Fair reported. The new friends stole the spotlight as they danced together and did the twist on top of Joel's piano.
"Any of you guys seen the movie 'Trainwreck'?" Joel asked the crowd and everyone responded with a resounding "woo!" in fan-shot footage from the concert.
He jumped right into his hit song "Uptown Girl" and hammed it up onstage with various hand movements as he performed. The 66-year-old hitmaker commanded the stage, but the audience focused its attention on Schumer when he face appeared on the giant screen above the stage.
At around the two-minute mark, and almost like magic, Schumer appeared on stage, holding her arms up and bouncing along to the song. Dressed casually in a black tank top and black jeans, she waved to the audience and showed off some seriously sassy dance moves, which included a shimmy as she danced towards the edge of the stage.
Then she was joined by the rest of her friends onstage, including Lawrence and Schumer's sister. The friends linked arms and engaged in a fantastic, Rockettes-style kick line. Lawrence kicked with enthusiasm, giving the crowd a shot of her flat tummy as her white high-low tank top fluttered above her low-waisted distressed jeans.
Their outing together comes just after Lawrence announced that she's working on a screenplay with Schumer for a comedy where the two actresses will play sisters, as previously reported by HNGN.
