Amy Schumer is already a killer writer and comedian, but she can also rap! Schumer and Talib Kweli performed a joint show in Chicago at the Constellation on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Schumer did her stand-up comedy routine and the Brooklyn-based rapper preformed some of his songs.
Schumer joined Kweli onstage in the middle of his set and helped the musician rap "Get Em High," by Kanye West, which he is featured on, reported Vulture. The "Trainwreck" star sung the track's female vocals which were originally recorded by West's girlfriend at the time, Sumeke Rainey. The track was found on West's critically acclaimed 2004 album "The College Dropout," according to Pitchfork.
Fans at the show seemed to greatly enjoy the surprise collaboration. The crowd roared when Schumer walked out on stage. She seemed to enjoy herself as she later posted a video of her rapping on her Instagram account. "You mean Talib Lyrics stick to your rib," Schumer captioned the video of her performance.
