The IFC network has postponed an episode of the mockumentary comedy series "Documentary Now!," scheduled to air this week over similarities to the news crew shooting in Virginia, according to The Associated Press.
"In light of yesterday's tragic events, IFC decided to air 'Kunuk' as tonight's episode of Documentary Now! in place of 'Dronez.' Our thoughts are with the victims," said the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The episode, titled "Dronez: The Hunt for El Chingon," was supposed to air on Thursday and its plot revolved around two courageous journalists, played by Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, who go to Mexico to track down a notorious drug lord. IFC decided to hold off on the episode because it contains a scene in which the reporters are killed on camera.
The postponement comes a day after USA delayed its season finale in wake of the tragic shooting in Virginia, as HNGN previously reported.
The episode has been rescheduled to air next Thursday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m.
