Earlier this summer Rosie Perez announced she was leaving "The View" after only one season on the ABC daytime talk show. Perez said she was leaving the show so she could pursue her love of acting full time. She was the first Latina on the show and took her final bow on the show in early August.
"I think I will be back to visit the ladies," Perez told People magazine when asked if she'd be willing to stop by as a guest co-host, "I love them, and I love the show, it was just time."
The actress announced she was leaving "The View" in early July, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I really want to thank 'The View,'" Perez said when she announced her departure. "Thank you very, very much and the entire ABC family for such a great opportunity to be part of such an iconic show that has opened me up to a broader audience and I will be forever grateful for that, but the ones that I want to thank the most are the fans."
In late August "The View" announced that three new co-hosts were joining the show for its 19th season alongside returning co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins. The three new hosts included the returning Joy Behar and Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"The View" returns Sept. 8 on ABC.
