Kitten Trapped In Car Engine Gets Help From Sacramento Firefighters (VIDEO)

Sacramento firefighters apparently don't just battle deadly fires and do rescue missions in dangerous situations. They also rescue kittens trapped in the most unlikely places, like a car engine.

Cries of a kitten caught people's attention in a McDonald's parking lot last week, according to Breitbart. In true kitten fashion that makes us all fall in love with these little furballs, the kitten took on an adventure and wound up inside a car engine - and couldn't go out.

Sacramento firefighters came to the rescue and successfully got the helpless kitten out. The little kitty's rescuers aptly nicknamed it "McNugget."

"The crew from Truck 16 removed a trapped kitten from the engine compartment of a car in a McDonalds parking lot today," the Sacramento Fire Department posted on its Facebook page. "McNugget was transported to the Front Street Animal Shelter, where he will be available for adoption after being medically cleared."

McNugget is not the first kitten that had to be rescued in the engine compartment. A man sought help from firefighters in July after seeing "something dangling" in his car's engine. The firefighters got the kitten out, who, after staying in the engine compartment for hours while the car was running, was already very cranky.

A similar incident in July involved kitten discovered hiding in the engine compartment after the car went on a collision course with another vehicle. The car's bumper came off and revealed an orange kitten hiding in the engine. Thankfully, it was unharmed.

Kittens seem to have a knack for making their way into engine compartments and being clueless as to how they can get out, but we love them anyway! Watch the video of McNugget's rescue below.
