Earlier this week, NBC revealed that President Barack Obama would become the first commander in chief to run wild with outdoorsman Bear Grylls. The British adventurer and host of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" met up with Obama for a three-day wilderness adventure trip to Alaska, reported CNN.
On Tuesday, Obama shared a selfie with Grylls as the two taped his episode of "Running Wild." The president posted a number of pictures of the trip to the official White House Instagram page. "Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park," the president captioned the selfie.
Obama also posted some solo shots of himself as well as the incredibly beautiful Alaskan wilderness. On the trip, the president learned more about the 50th state's struggle with temperature control. "Markers throughout Exit Glacier show how much it's receded over time. The impacts of climate change are real, and the people of Alaska are living with them every day. It's never been more important for us to work together to address this challenge," Obama captioned another shot of himself.
Obama joins a growing list of celebrities who have appeared on "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," including Kate Hudson, Zac Efron, Kate Winslet and Channing Tatum, reported Entertainment Weekly. According to NBC, the president's episode will air later this year.
