Ayvani Hope Perez UPDATE: Mother Of Kidnapping Victim Linked to Suspect From Prior Drug Arrest?

Ayvani Hope Perez, 14, was brought home safely after a one day manhunt lead to the arrest of her alleged kidnappers, who may have a connection to the girl's mother, Maria Magdalena Corral.

Authorities identified Wildrego Jackson, 29, and Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, 40, as the two suspects arrested for kidnapping the teen.

The men entered Corral's home Tuesday at about 2:15 a.m., allegedly demanding $10,000 from the mother. When Corral said she did not have any money, they abducted Perez at gunpoint, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Corral is reportedly connected to Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez as the two were arrested in 2012 in a marijuana trafficking bust. The AJC reports Contreras-Rodriguez was arrested under the name Contreras-Ramirez, but it is the same individual.

"It is the same guy," Vincent Perez, spokesman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told AJC. Corral was reportedly talking to Contreras-Rodriguez at the time of the arrest.

"They were just talking in the driveway," Michael Katz, the lawyer who represented Contreras-Ramirez during the 2012 arrest, told the AJC. "I think she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time."

"Police were not aware of any connection between the mother of Ayvani Perez and the kidnapping suspects, and had been focused on rescuing the teen," a representative for the Clayton County police told CBS News' Crimesider.

Authorities have not confirmed the motive for the abduction, but Perez has returned home and was immediately taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

"This is a good day for the (Perez) family, and more importantly for Ayvani," Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter told reporters during a news conference. "She's been reunited with her family. She's in good health."

Contreras-Rodriguez is being held on federal immigration charges, according to multiple reports. Jackson is facing a federal charge of conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

Police said they are still looking into more suspects possibly connected to the crime.
