Selena Gomez shed her clothes for the cover of her anticipated album "Revival," Billboard reported. The former Disney star posed nude for the cover art of her upcoming release and posted the photo to her social media pages.
Gomez is stripped down in the shot, sitting on the ground with her legs crossed and her long dark wavy hair concealing her chest. She stared straight into the camera lens, giving off a sultry, seductive glare. She teased the photo with a text shot on Twitter and Instagram that simply stated "This is my..." then followed it with the photo of the cover art shortly after.
Her album, "Revival" is due out on Oct. 9, according to Entertainment Weekly. It features appearances by artists Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter from the New York City-based rock band Semi Precious Weapons, and enlists the help of songwriting team Rock Mafia, who have also worked with fellow pop stars Miley Cyrus and Ellie Goulding. Gomez has said that this album chronicles her journey as she evolves from a former Disney star to a grown woman.
"I've lived such a public life that I understand that I'm under a microscope," she told Entertainment Weekly. "That has taken me into so many different phases. It's made me depressed and it's made me happy and it's made me grateful and humble - but [I've learned] it's okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good."
