Every little boy dreams of owning a luxury sports car one day, but two 5-year-olds in Russia actually attempted to make their dreams a reality after leaving kindergarten to go to a Jaguar showroom!
The tykes were on a supervised walk around their school’s grounds when they decided to wander away from the group to dig their way out of the site with shovels, reported Komsomolskaya Pravda, according to the AFP. The incident — which took place in Magnitogorsk, Russia, within the past week — was confirmed by the Chelyabinsk regional interior ministry.
After the boys escaped, they walked approximately 1.24 miles to a car dealership specializing in luxury automobiles. However, a woman in a car noticed the boys and, upon realizing they were without adult supervision, asked them what they were up to. The children reportedly told her they wanted a “grown-up car,” but didn’t have any money for a Jaguar, reported the Siberian Times. She immediately drove them to the nearest police station.
Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that the crafty boys had been planning their escape for several days and had dug a hole under a fence using spades from their school’s sand pit to get out.
It took about a half an hour for school staff members to realize the boys were gone. “This is a very serious breach of rules. The head of the group that allowed this to happen was fired,” said Olga Denisenko, the city’s acting head of preschool education, according to the Siberian Times.
The boys’ parents have not filed complaints against the school.
