'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' RECAP: Whitney Thore Says Goodbye To Carbs, Rides Bike For First Time In Years (VIDEO)

Season two, episode one and two of TLC's latest reality series "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" picked up right where season one left off. Reality star Whitney Thore, the YouTube sensation behind the "A Fat Girl Dancing" videos and the internet campaign, No Body Shame, continued on her journey to a healthier lifestyle after being diagnosed as pre-diabetic and accomplished things she never thought possible as an overweight woman.

The first scene in episode one showed Thore doing what she loves most: teaching her Big Girl dance class at the Greensboro Dance Theater in her hometown of Greensboro, N.C. She announced to her students that she secured a spot for the women to perform a dance routine during the seventh inning stretch at an upcoming game for local baseball team, Greensboro Grasshoppers, but they only have two weeks to prepare.

She also learned that her A1C blood test result jumped up from a 6.1 to a 6.4 in the three months since she learned she was pre-diabetic. Thore explained that a reading of 6.5 and above is full-blown diabetes and she took steps in order to reverse her health condition. She started to make healthier eating choices and even rode a bike for the first time with her close friend, Buddy.

In the second episode of the season premiere, Thore visited a dietician who told her that healthy eating isn't about cutting entire food groups from your diet because it promotes binge-eating, which would make her pre-diabetes worse. Dietician Julie Duffy Dillon explained that Thore could still eat carbohydrates, just not refined ones like white bread and white pasta.

To take control over her eating habits, Thore invited her parents and close friends to an Italian restaurant so that she could say good-bye to carbs for good, or as her friend would say, "pasta la vista!"

Before the end of the meal, Thore ceremoniously broke up with her beloved food group.

"Carbs," she said, holding a piece of bread. "Our relationship has gotten stale. Don't call me, I'll call you cause I'm in control now."
