San Antonio police arrested Manu Bennett for assault on Sunday after he allegedly punched a 29-year-old man in the face. He was charged with assault causing bodily injury and held on $1,600 bond, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
The "Arrow" star was in San Antonio for the Alamo City Comic Con held at the convention center over the weekend. The altercation took place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel around 4:30 a.m. and the SAPD received a call out for an "assault in progress," according to KENS 5 Eyewitness News.
Police took the Bennett into custody early Sunday morning and released him around 1 p.m. the same day.
The SAPD had no other details on the altercation.
The New Zealand native is best known for his roles in "The Hobbit" (as Azog), the "Spartacus" series (as Crixus) and recently as Deathstroke on The CW's "Arrow." His next project is on the new MTV show, "The Shannara Chronicles," which premieres this January.
