Meryl Streep is all set to share screen space with Bollywood actress Sridevi in an upcoming movie "Cowboys and Indians."
Meryn Streep is known as one of the finest actresses and has the ability to blend into any role given to her. Streep will now share screen space with another legendary personality from the Bollywood film industry. Sridevi will be acting alongside Streep in an upcoming movie titled "Cowboys and Indians."
According to reports, the movie will be directed by Amy Redford, daughter of actor Robert Redford. Sources confirmed that both actresses are looking forward to working in the film opposite each other.
"Yes, we are happy to have received a communication about a project with Ms. Meryl Streep," Punkej Kharbanda, Sridevi's manager said, confirming the news. However, he said that he was not at a liberty to reveal any more information about the project.
Sridevi has starred in many super-hit Indian films. She recently made her comeback in a film titled "English Vinglish," which also won her many awards and admiration from Bollywood fellow-stars.
"A viewing of English Vinglish, directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R Balki tonight, leaves me with collective lumps in the throat and a surge of flushed eyes near the tear ducts. And it is not all the emotion of a particular moment that puts one in such state. It is the uncontrollable effect of appreciation that prevents one from expressing any at all...," Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog about Sridevi's "English Vinglish."
Bollywood stars seem to be making their way into Hollywood. According to reports from last week, actress Deepika Padukone was cast for a role in "Fast and Furious 7" but had to turn down the role due to date issues. Later, it was reported that "3 Idiots" actor Ali Fazal recently returned to India after shooting for a cameo role in the same movie.
