Some Mormons have recently declared September 2015 the official end of the world. Although scientists have not discovered any relevant data supporting this idea, many Mormons are beginning to stock pile their kitchens to avoid the imminent food shortage that they believe will ensue.
Financial woes worry many of the Mormons at this time. "There is a sense of urgency, like something is up. A lot of people are mentioning things about September, like a financial collapse," a service representative said, according to International Business Times.
This belief is not something that is supported by all Mormons, but a select few followers of Julie Row. "The details are still a bit sketchy, but apparently these folks, led by author Julie Rowe, believe that there will be a major financial crisis this month, followed by the tribulation associated with the return of Christ," according to Religion News. Members of the Latter Of Day Saints do not believe the world is ending in September. Folks like Boyd K. Packer think that instead of focusing on the end of the world, people should try to be productive and have children.
The "End of Days" clues and warnings that people claim to see has been going on for centuries. Many people have attempted to predict the Apocalypse, even in recent years. "In the western world, several Christian sects claim the end is near," according to Catholic Online. It may be safe to say that nobody really knows when the World will end. However as September draws to an end, let's all hope that Julie Row is wrong so that we can continue to enjoy life as we know it.
