Jimmy Fallon has been known to use his experience in sketch comedy on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." The "Tonight Show" host tried to get pop star Justin Bieber to star in a sketch with him, but he said the Biebs dropped out at the last second.
Last week, Bieber went on the "Tonight Show" to perform his new single "What Do You Mean?" Bieber and Fallon planned to do a sketch on the show like many celebrities have in the past. However, the Canadian singer called off the sketch at the last minute.
"It's like, I don't care. I mean, I wish they'd told me weeks ago because today's the day, and now we have to crunch and think of an idea to do. And I have to apologize to the crew guys who built the set and the wardrobe people and everyone," Fallon told Billboard.
Fallon even tweeted about "doing something fun" with Bieber before he appeared on the show.
"He's here to sing, so as long as he's comfortable and it sounds good then we did our job. And if I talk to him and make him funny and make him look good, that's my job. That's all I have to do," Fallon said.
While Bieber did not do the sketch with Fallon on the show, he did open up about crying after his VMA performance of "What Do You Mean."
"I just wasn't expecting them to support me in the way they did," Bieber told Fallon of the emotional moment.
