CBS’s last new drama was a hit to say the least. “Under the Dome” was the best show of the summer and made all of us annoyed at the fact we have to wait a whole eight months for Season 2. So, hopefully “Hostages” follows suit. Here is my wishlist for the first season of “Hostages”:
No. 1—A major move by Dr. Ellen Sanders (Toni Collette)
In the show’s premiere it appeared Duncan (Dylan McDermott) had most, if not all, the leverage and things looked pretty bleak for Dr. Sanders and her family. I would like to see her get some sort of an upper hand on Sanders and his team of bandits in the first couple episodes. One of the things to look forward to this season is the chess match between Ellen and Duncan. Let’s hope her first move is a good one.
No. 2—Something I don’t see coming
I’ve seen the government higher-up who hires someone to do a job. I’ve seen the dad who does something bad to someone else to do something good for his wife. I want to see something very, very different in “Hostages.” If I’m able to guess what’s coming, the show will be fairly disappointing.
No. 3—A big guest star
Hopefully, Jerry Bruckheimer can bring in a huge star to get fans even more excited about the show—preferably as a villain. It’s always fun to see your favorite actor/actress come on a show and shake up a few things.
“Hostages” airs Mondays at 10/9c on CBS.
