Friday, former Fla. Governor Jeb Bush claimed his heritage as a member of the Bush family, declaring "Yes, I am a Bush," according to CNN.
Though Bush is a well known member of the historic Bush family, this is the first time he has ever capitalized on his famous heritage since his bid for the republican presidential nomination.
During the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference in Michigan, Bush criticized Secretary of State and presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, who he claims is bad with international relations, according to Talking Points Memo.
"Name a country in the world where our relationship is better today than the day that Hillary of Clinton became secretary of state," said Bush.
He also defended his brother's legacy as president after attacked by Trump during the republican presidential debate, saying "he kept us safe," according to New York Magazine.
"I happened to see two really good presidents develop relationships with other countries," he said. "I know how to do this because, yes, I am a Bush."
According to Bush, although the U.S. Has developed better relationships with countries like Cuba, Burma and Iran, connections with the Israel and the Middle East have gone down. Bush said that he could improve U.S. relations around the world.
